Interface Language Selector
MetalGlot’s interface is localized into 32 languages. Use the language selector dropdown on the home page to switch the app UI to the language you want to work in.
What This Changes
Section titled “What This Changes”Changing the interface language updates the app UI, including:
- Page labels.
- Buttons and menus.
- Dialogs and status text.
- Navigation and setup flows.
This is a UI preference feature. It changes how MetalGlot is presented to the operator, not what the model translates.
What This Does Not Change
Section titled “What This Does Not Change”Changing the interface language does not:
- Change the source language for a translation task.
- Change the target language for a translation task.
- Switch models, containers, or inference settings.
- Alter the translation output already generated in the current workspace.
That separation matters because UI localization and translation routing solve different problems.
How To Switch The App Language
Section titled “How To Switch The App Language”- Open the home page.
- Use the language selector dropdown.
- Choose the interface language you want.
- Continue working in the same app with the UI labels updated to the selected language.
If you later switch source or target languages inside a translation workspace, that affects translation behavior separately from the interface language choice.
When To Use It
Section titled “When To Use It”The interface language selector is especially useful when:
- The person operating the app prefers a non-English UI.
- You are demonstrating the app to users in different locales.
- You want setup and workflow labels to match the team’s working language.
- You are checking the quality of the app’s own localization coverage.
